Ron is a Clinical Member and Approved Supervisor in the American (Ontario) Association for Marriage and Family Therapy (AAMFT). He has worked with many counsellors who want to enhance their helping skills and those who want to have their work supervised as they work toward various certifications.

Even though Ron is comfortable with many counselling models and philosophies, he tends to operate from a wellness, solution focused perspective. Ron enjoys exploring a wide variety of world views on human behavior with counsellors and by reading.

Ron’s approach to Clinical Supervision, in part, is to assist counsellors to become more aware of themselves in their work. One client often triggers different responses in different counsellors. Although this is normal, counsellors need to understand why this occurs to be effective in their work. Understanding our own dynamics is one key to working productively with our clients. It is also an essential part of every counsellor’s self care strategy.
